ABOUT LaDonya M. Pitre
LaDonya M. Pitre has successfully represented clients in a wide range of practice areas including but not limited to: personal injury, foreclosure defense, evictions, and consumer law litigation. Throughout her career, she has maintained a passion for aggressively pursuing the best available outcome for each client regardless as to their background or the unfortunate circumstances that have befallen them.
LaDonya, a native of St. Landry Parish, earned her undergraduate degree from Southern University A & M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she graduated Cum Laude. Upon completion of undergraduate school, she attended and graduated from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Upon completion of law school, she returned to her hometown where she clerked in the twenty-seventh judicial district for one year. She later accepted a position as staff attorney with Acadiana Legal Services Corporation. While there, she served many low income and less fortunate individuals. One of the cases that was most significant occurred when she successfully defended a foreclosure lawsuit filed against a single mother of three young children who would have been evicted and rendered homeless without her intervention. LaDonya has also obtained dismissals of countless evictions whereby the proper legal procedures were not followed. Moreover, LaDonya has also obtained a money judgment for one of her less fortunate clients totaling fifty thousand dollars on a small property claim dispute.
LaDonya has provided countless wills, powers of attorney, and donations for clients from all walks of life. For over ten years, she has maintained a successful law practice in succession matters, while advising clients on small estate planning affairs. She has competently researched complex legal issues regarding employment law issues. She has also advised numerous individuals seeking assistance in resolving their employment law grievances.
LaDonya has been described as a motivated, energetic, articulate professional who thrives in a courtroom setting. She has proven experience in case management from initial client intake to closure of client case files. She has exceptional skills and hands on experience in conducting depositions, drafting, reviewing and analyzing pleadings, motions, responses to summary judgments, opinions, briefs and other legal documents. While LaDonya maintains a very active law practice extending to a wide range of practice areas, she believes in giving back and thus has made time to also serve on countless boards for non-profit organizations. She has also volunteered numerous hours at various organizations both while in law school and throughout her career for the betterment of her community.
